Radio Disney Hannah Montana Talent Contest, Winner Taylor Neal
Monroe, NC. October 30, 2006: Monroe Mall played host to Radio Disney’s popular Hannah Montana talent competition on October 21, 2006. Over 30 kids participated in this family fun event. Taylor Neal was awarded top prize for her performance at the event. Taylor sang the popular song “Who Said “. Taylor is the daughter of Hal and Linda Neal of Waxhaw and is a fifth grader at Waxhaw Elementary. She enjoys spending her time singing, dancing and watching the “Hannah Montana”.
The rest of the winners were as follows:
1st Runner-up - Sarah Mills
2nd Runner-up – Lakota Grindstaff
3rd Runner-up – Elizabeth Sullivan
4th Runner-up – Shane Wyatt
In keeping with the Hannah Montana Theme, kids competed by coming to the event dressed as alter ego “Hannah Montana” or as simply “a rock star”. While in costume, the contestants lip synced to “Best of Both Worlds”, “Who Said” or “If We Were A Movie” from the new Hannah Montana album. The contest was open to those 14 and under as of September 15, 2006.
Each local winner selected was awarded a prize pack at the Radio Disney event hosted by Monroe Mall. Judging criteria was based on overall performance and costume.
Each local winner will also be qualified for the national sweepstakes. One grand prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible winner entries. The winner and their family (total of 4 people) will win a trip to Los Angeles, CA to see a taping of Hannah Montana (date subject to filming schedule).
